John Lessels got a lovely 9lb fish today complete with long tail lice on it in the Craigs.
John also had a hold of 3 seatrout and landed one. A great day John - well done.
Then we heard of a fish being caught on the beat above so we new a few must have been going through.
This was proved correct when just before lunch Jock Tait 'stapled' this licer of 8lbs below Benchil Green! Nice one Jock!

Alex Graham
Fishing the fly from the bank, Alex Graham caught a fantastic fish today. and then caught a 2lb sea trout on the same fly. We heard the whistle from the boat harling Benchil Green and saw Alex fighting the 20lb Spring Salmon at the Ponds. At 1.3 ft over the stone in fast water Alex played the fish with great skill into the net following many tricky moments.

One lovely Springer
John Patterson landed this absolutely lovely 7lb Springer today. He and Derek Currie had 3 fish on today - Derek landed a 10 lb kelt (and there aint many of them around) shortly after John lost a fish which we didnt see , and then the springer. The river has dropped to 1.5 ft over the stone and the lower it gets the better.

Stunning Tay
This week has been excellent on the river with very cold conditions down to -5 in the mornings and the river looking stunning with clear skies. We are getting sport too with the kelts and seatrout, one of which was 2lb. The cold icy weather has put the river at 1.5 feet above the top of the stone, a 3.5 ft drop from opening day.
Cheers.
Cheers.
