2012

The 2012 season was a bit mixed for Upper Redgorton, with generally good fishing to be had either side of August (which was pants due to high and coloured water). Three stand out highlights would be Greggor Nimmo's 18lb springer, Hugh Robbin's 32lb fly caught shark, and Callum Hay's 26lb fresh extention belter!

The boat will be on from the start of 2013 and bookings can be made either through Fishpal or through Jim Taylor who has his details on the fishtay web page for Upper Redgorton. You can also get me on 07762464407, tayhayurg@gmail.com.

Good Start

The river is level with the top of the stone and a bit coloured, but not bad. Boat is back on and a good start on day one with my guests Keith and Katrina getting an 8lb grilse and a sea-trout straight away on the fly (anchored) at cochrans and 5 trees.

Next Generation

Callum and Hugo Hay well pleased with their first catch. The river seems to be on its way up but still 1 foot 4"below the stone.

Sunday 1 April 2012

John McConville caught this perfect sea trout whilst fishing on Saterday and safely returned it. The river is a foot and a half below the stone and could maybe do with a wee freshen up, but another day with the sun on our backs can't be bad!

Monday 26 March 2012

Off and running and up to 8 springers so far. With the water a foot below the stone and crystal clear the warm conditions have helped us with fish running. Spring fishing is still available and lets hope for lots more action!

Here is a belter of 18lbs that took Greggor Nimmo's rapala fished from the boat just above the Well Hole. A great fight followed!
